Chapter one
Enter the Nightmare

A place that has not ever been seen
In a world of creepy terror all around
A world that is from a nightmare and not a dream
Our own home Halloween Town!


The sound rung through the silent air. It seamed to echo in every corner and tease all who listened. Tk, Tk, Tk, Tk, Young students continued scribbling on their papers waiting for the final sound. Tk, Tk, Tk, Tk, A girl with blonde hair and green eyes stopped writing and her eyes grazed over to the cause of all the impatient sighs. The clock sat ticking away with out a care in the world. Then finally…

BRINNNNGGGGGG!

“ WOOOOO!” The blonde haired girl squealed. Jumping out of her desk. She quickly grabbed her things and bolted towards the door. As she made her way through the crowds of happy students who were glad that their day of school was over, she rummaged through her locker.
“ Finally I thought I’d never get out of here!” She joyously said giving a big smirk. She carried her orange book bag on one shoulder. She wore an orange shirt with a black hoodie on top and a pair of grayish blue pants to go with it. She happily pushed open the door that lead to the outside world. As she did a cool little breeze wrapped around her and the schoolyard.
“ Ahhh… The smell of freedom.” She took in a breath then let it out with a content look. “ Or perhaps the school lunch.”
“ Jordain!” A familiar voice to the girl shouted. Jordain turned to see a brown haired girl running up to her. “ Hey Jordain! Jordain.” Jordain sighed as she and the other girl began walking together.
“ Hiya Kylie.” Jordain stood and shifted her book bag up higher on her back. “ I’m so glad it’s the weekend.”
“ Are you doing anything this Saturday? We could hang out at my house.” Kylie grabbed her bike from the bike rack as Jordain waited. She frowned a bit wondering if anything was going on the next day.
“ I might just draw… and play video games… stuff like that.” Jordain said thinking it over. Man she complained to herself, my weekends are boring. I’ve lived in this little town and all the boring little days of my life… I just wish life was more… amazing.
“ Jordain are you okay?” Kylie asked waving a hand in her face. Jordain snapped out of her little trace.
“ Oh um… I’m okay!”
“ Are you really?”
“ Ummm…” Jordain itched the top of her nose and shrugged. “ I’m fine really just thinking of school work…”
“ I know you lie when you itch your nose…” Kylie said as Jordain nervously glanced down to the ground.
“ Sorry…” But right now… It’s just me, She thought as they continued walking down the sidewalk.
“ Jordain you’re being such a drama queen!” Kylie joked as Jordain scowled at her.
“ Thanks for your kind comments…” Jordain sighed as Kylie began turning to the other direction of the sidewalk. Kylie turned her head back to Jordain.
“ Well this is where we split.” Kylie sighed. “ Maybe we can play games at my house?’
“ Ummm… Yeah that would be fun…” Jordain said turning her head away from her friend. Kylie jumped onto her bike and began riding down the street. Jordain watched a moment then began walking the other way. “ But if you want… to do the same old thing…”
Jordain continued walking down the empty street sidewalk. You would expect some more kids but she was the only one as she passed the park. She looked up and a small grin came to her face. The small forest that surrounded the park was alive in colors. Oranges, reds, yellows, and faint greens.
“ The forest is so pretty this time of year.” She said to herself. Her book bag was dropped right beside a tree. She flopped down beside it resting her back against the trunk. A thought came to her as a bigger smile came to her face. “ I guess that means… It’s almost Halloween isn’t it?” She thought to herself as a slight breeze blew again. I guess without holidays… it would be even more boring… A leaf fell down to the ground its brown edges crinkled. “ I… just wish….”
She stood up and brushed her pants off annoyed by herself. “ That’s enough of that… Kylie was right.” She sighed at herself. “ I am over thinking this.” She began to take a few steps away from the tree. I just have to face, this boring reality. Suddenly she stopped dead in her tracks. A faint noise filled her ears. She was startled and turned her head back to the small forest of trees.
“ What is that? Music?” She asked with much curiosity. She stood a moment trying to make it out. It was music, but a very creepy. It seamed to be calling her and she didn't hesitate. She grabbed her bag and threw it over one of her shoulders. She began walking into the trees shade.
“ This music is creepy.” She mumbled to herself. “ But sounds so familiar.” As she continued making her way deeper and deeper into the trees, the music seamed to get louder. But unknown to her a wisp of fog began covering the ground behind her. It grew slightly grabbing her foot but since it was palpable it curled back.
“ The tree’s seam much bigger back here… Weird.” Jordain said standing beside one. It seamed to go up on and on as if there was no end. Plus the base was quite big. The thing that made no sense at all was how far she could see trees. Just like the gigantic trees it seamed to go on forever. Jordain looked down to see white substance curling around her leg. She jumped frightened and realized it was fog.
“ What? That’s fog!” She turned her head to look behind her. Right behind her taller then her was a wall made up of fog. She stood stupefied by this strange thing. But everything was getting strange. Something isn’t right here, she thought to herself, strange music… huge trees… and even fog coming out of nowhere! She turned around and began running away from the fog.
“ I’ll just make it out on the other end!” She yelled quickening her pace. She was half running half sprinting when she realized that the music was louder. Wait… the music’s getting louder. She looked up ahead to see a ring of trees. As she reached them she bent down trying to catch her breath. She slowly looked up and complete awe covered her face.
There were doors on each of the trees. She stood and looked at two of them one had a door clover and the other a door heart. “ What is this? A clover? A heart?” She looked at one that was a turkey. “ A turkey?” She then looked at the next an egg on it. “ An egg?” She was completely confused. Next was a firework door. “ Some fireworks…” She looked at the next one finally realizing what they were. On it was a Christmas tree.“ And a Christmas tree… they look like doors…” She turned her head to see the last one.
“ But there is one more…” She stood her eyes fixated on the door. It had a door shaped like a pumpkin. She stood there the breeze making her hair slightly curl again. The music started all up of a sudden, which made her realize when she first got here it, had stopped.
“ Boys and girls of every age…” The music now had a voice singing to it. A voice that seamed to be made of many voices but all carried the creepy tune into her head. “ Wouldn’t you like to see something strange?” She reached out her hand to grab the nose of the pumpkin door, which was its handle. She gulped as she twisted it.
“ Come with us and you will see…” She flung it open closing her eyes in case anything was going to scare her. She stood a moment and saw that there was nothing in it. She peered into the dark empty void that filled the tree.
“ There’s nothing in here.” She sighed and withdrew from the door. “ Well so much for that…” She stood back and put her finger to her mouth. “ Well what do I do now? I can’t find my way back…” She stood there a moment the wind her only reply to her troubles. “ Man my luck is just sucky!” She held her head in her hands.
“ Maybe if I go back through the fog…” She turned her back to the doorway. “ But which way is it?” Behind her a slight breeze blew and began sucking air in. It suddenly grew stronger and Jordain gulped realizing it. She felt her feet get plucked off the ground as she fell into the vast darkness of the door.
“WAAAAAA!” She cried watching herself fall away from the light of the door. She felt her head go light as the door closed complete darkness taking over.
“ I guess I get… What I wish for…” She muttered before she fell unconscious.


As a figure was walking through the woods. They looked like the ones Jordain had gone through. He murmured to himself his gray stitched shoe as he walked slowly.
“ It seams he never understands me…” He muttered, he caste a lanky shadow onto the trunk of a tree. He sighed but suddenly stopped as to seeing a strange sight.
“ Who is this?” He asked seeing a blonde hair girl crumpled in front of the pumpkin door. Jordain lay there unconscious but the figure didn’t know whom she was. He looked down at her and gave an hmmm. “ She’s a mortal!” He said surprised by his discovery. He grabbed her book bag a slender shadowed hand. He then carried her in his arms and began making his way from the circle of trees. Jordain moaned as the stranger carried her down a path leading away from the trees...
